[lug] RAID5 problem

It's generally an indication that the drive is not partitioned correctly. If
the message is exactly the same, it would indicate that /dev/hdb is not
partitioned.

The RAID tools operate across partitions on the drives, not on the drives
themselves.

Hello,

I was searching for answer for my RAID5 problem when I found your
question on
http://archive.lug.boulder.co.us/bymonth/2000.02/msg00001.html
My problem is exactly the same as yours !
I don't see any replies but I expect you found the answer as this
message is 2 year's old.
I would be very happy if you can share the answer with me :)
Thanks

Laurent
