Yes, Type-N would be much better, but big.  You don't break those off
though <wink>.  For size they could go to SMA.  That also isn't a great
connector, especially if you want repeatability, but it would work better
than TNC at these frequencies.  Probably the cream of the crop would be a
precision 3.5mm, but that could get pricey.
