[lug] [OT] Network Infrastructure

We have an existing 10MB network internally that I have been charged
with upgrading to 100MB. I also need to straighten out a few problems in
the process. 

I'm looking for a network mailing list (or other resources) that I can
start to garner more information about industry networking
best-practices. I already belong to the NANOG list but that seems to
focus more on the Internet level. Ultimately I am concerned at that
level but would like a more focused list about corporate infrastructure.


I'm also specifically looking for recommendations on what brand of
switches people have good luck with. We currently have mostly HP
switches and Cisco and Bay routers. I think it is a fairly safe choice
to standardize on Cisco routers but don't know about the switches.
