[lug] Creating audio CDs

Thanks to everyone who responded to my message. I was able to sucessfully
convert 70 minutes of audio tracks to .wav files using cdparanoia in about
a half hour. This seemed reasonable as compared to the various responses.

I think I found the reason why cdda2wav was so slow, although I don't know
what to do to fix it. In /var/log/messages the following messages are
repeated over and over while cdda2wav is reading the tracks:

Any ideas?
