DESCRIPTION:

Over the past few years, Java[tm] 2 Platform, Enterprise Edition (J2EE[tm])
technology has emerged and matured as a standard platform for building
enterprise applications. While the platform has matured into a solid offering
for developing and deploying enterprise applications, it does offer its
challenges. As developers, often we confuse learning the technology with
learning to design with the technology. In this session, John Schuch,
Senior Java Consultant, shares his cumulative design experience and expertise on
J2EE technology.

In this session, we will provide an introduction to the following J2EE patterns:
Intercepting filter; Front controller; View helper; Composite view; Service to
worker; Dispatcher; Business delegate; Value object; Session facade; Composite
entity; Value object assembler; Value list handler; Service locator; Data access
object; and Service activator.
