Not a forte' of mine, can't help with this one... but...

You can install Red-Carpet on these systems, and then select the Ximian
GNOME Desktop channel, subscribe, and install the desktop components you
want (all of them, if you like) to your heart's content.  I did this to
a machine recently and it worked fine.  It even did the silly little
registration thing after restarting X -- there was a package
specifically for this startup stuff, but I can't remember the name at
the moment.  (Hey, it's 1AM!  GRIN)  And of course, that thing can set
the default GNOME desktop settings and voila... Ximian installed.

I subscribed to both the Ximian GNOME channel and the RedHat 7.2
channel, selected darn near everything ('cause their installer does) and
let it download for a while.  Thank goodness for broadband!  :-)
