[lug] Is anon ftp upload really bad?

As long as the anonymously uploaded files are not readable and visible to
anonymous users, it is OK. Otherwise, the Warez community will soon be using
the server to distribute their goods.

Can you give any rational reason for this?

I ran a server like this for well over a year with no ill effects.
