Really?  I'm running Galeon 1.2.1 with Mozilla 1.0rc1...

Perhaps try starting the paragraphs with "<p />" and ignoring the closing
one?  The trailing "/" in "<tag />" indicates that it's a tag which doesn't
have a closing tag.
