True, it would be nice to add a preference into the MUAs:

Honor reply-to
Ignore reply-to
Ask before using reply-to

For even more flexbility, one could make it also configurable per 
domain or even per sender.

One generally cool feature I've seen in many recent applications is a 
preset of "ask", combined with the ability to check a button that says 
"remember my answer and stop bugging me".
