  Does it need to go off site?  If not, or if you have high speed internet
to the offsite location, why not just use hard disks?  rsync will cut your
bandwidth down to almost nothing unless you have lots of huge changes
every day.

  Also, if I understand this right: never use tar with compression
(especially gzip), because corruption in the middle of the archive will
cause the loss of the rest of the archive.  afio is like tar, but
allows you to compress each file individually, so you lose only the
corrupted files.  Someone please correct me if I'm wrong about that.
