Always set it to runlevel 3 as default while working on X11. You can
simply do a "startx" or "init 5" (as root) to test. FYI, I think the
largest part of failures at initial install will be out-of-range desktop
sizes. Set it for 640x480 and 16 bpp until it works, or 24 bpp, and
don't use larger settings until it works there.

I'm not sure if the 686 includes both pentium 2 and pentium pro or not,
the others are correct. Either way, i686 includes agp bus.
