[lug] Laptop screen gets out of sync

I've had the same problem with my IBM thinkpad, but it happens all the
time.  Only on SuSE 8.0, though, I don't have the problem with recent
Krud.  It works fine on the monitor, but not on the LCD.  I haven't come
up with a SuSE solution yet.
