"The State of Java"
Wally Wedel - Master Java Architect, Sun Microsystems

This keynote address will focus on updates to the State Of Java since JavaOne 
2002. Several Java Technologies to appear in Java Standard Edition and In Java 
Enterprise Edition have progressed nicely since JavaOne. We will examine these 
developments and then will turn to Web Services based on Java Technologies. We 
will explore how Java Technologies support Web Services and how they are likely 
to adapt to meet challenges from the marketplace.

Wally Wedel is a Master Java Architect at the Sun Java Center in Broomfield. The 
Sun Java Center provides Software Architecture, Software Development 
Methodology, and Java Technology consulting solutions to Fortune 1000 customers 
around the world. Wally has 30 years experience in Software Engineering for a 
variety of different organizations from Universities to Fortune 100 
corporations. Currently Wally is focusing on efficient development of Java 
Applications for the Enterprise.
