[lug] ncurses and pthreads bug {no filter}

I am having this problem that when I spawn multiple threads only my main
thread can write to the screen through ncurses.  Do I have to do some extra
initialization if I want to update the screen with a child thread?

BTW - I am spawning my threads after the ncurses initialtization.
