[lug] Oracle 8.1.x on KRUD/RedHat 8?

Does Oracle actually scream about the versions in the installer or in the
docs?

My inclination might be to go ahead and try to run the Oracle installer
without altering your system and seeing if you get lucky.

Not terribly hard to clean up after a failed/ bad Oracle installation.
Seems alot easier to give it a shot than mess with changing lots of stuff.

I have seen a number of cases where Oracle's documentation is wrong about
things like this.
