Ed's right about the D-LinkAir Plus series, it's actually a TI chipset (an
ACX100 I believe) with a proprietary 22Mbps mode and proprietary WEP
extensions.  See:

for more info.  To my knowledge there are no open source drivers available
for Linux though since TI's AR5W ADSL/WLAN router has the 22 Mbps mode
with an embedded Linux variant I'd assume that they've got them
internally.  Even the Atheros 802.11a chips have a driver under public
development, so TI's apparent stance is a little weird.
