Never heard of them.  I'll have to check them out.

Phoebe is the latest beta from Red Hat, the third revision has been out
for a bit.  It has Gnome 2.2 and KDE 3.1 (both not perfect, but usable).

Frankly, though, you might as well wait for 8.1 which should be coming
out VERY soon.  I'm basing this on the freeze at Red Hat (Rawhide froze
about 2 weeks ago).  Reading the Phoebe-list, Havoc and the rest have
gotten very closed-mouthed.  I'm thinking a lot is to do with XFree86
4.3, but there really isn't any word.

Heck, no one (official) has even said what's going on with Rawhide
freezing.  Some speculate it was a weird sync error that evolved into a
freeze due to 8.1's eventual entry.  It would be nice to hear about it,
though.  ftp.redhat.com seems to be taking a pounding right now, as many
people see "old" mirrors and don't realize ftp.redhat.com is just as
old!
