OK, this may not be exactly true.  I think the card/board must be a
"Universal" for this to be true.  But, no manufacturer is making pure
8x/0.8V cards.  Luckily, if you did try to use one, AGP 3.0 makes the
card be tolerant of 1.5V.  So you can't torch an 8x/0.8V card in a 1.5V
slot (which might have been possible in the 3.3->1.5 days).
