http://www.whiteboxlinux.org - might be useful if you're interested in 
getting RHEL without buying it.

The GPL of course does protect someone legitimately getting the source, 
removing all copyrighted materials (logos, tradmarks, etc.) and 
redistributing... which is what appears to be happening with WhiteBox.

I haven't tried it yet, but was thinking about it just so I could play 
with RHEL.
