In an earlier post, I mentioned Army use of VHF, but also local police
and sheriffs dept. use VHF. This is, of course, non-commercial, but surely
local government should have some influence on FCC. I prefer to think that
current regime in DC is more stupid than venal. Very very stupid. Of course
maybe they have a plan to force police to buy all new comm. gear, and a plan
to make it very profitable.
