[lug] Machine Info Database

Hi,

I have a lab with about 30 or so machines in it. Being a lab,
that number fluctuates and can go as high as 60 with blade servers,
and vendor hardware. We have a DB we store system information
in and have written a perl script that when run on a new system 
will inject a new machine profile into our DB. Then, there's a
php web-application/frontend to the DB.

I'm wondering if there is a nice opensource application that 
does something similar. The perl scipt isn't a requirement, 
just something that we can store machine profiles in, and possibly
user account information.
