[lug] lfs error

Thought I had all my LFS (large file support) issues solved (2.4.20 kernel),
but apparently not.

I can "cp" a 4G file from an external file server to local reiserfs mount,
but can't to a /dev/hdb1 vfat partition (NFS exported filesystem).

Error:  File size limit exceeded (core dumped)

Something needs to be rebuilt for LFS, no doubt.
Suppose this is an nfs export issue ... or something in cp to vfat ?
