[lug] Query about RAID monitoring

3Ware has a monitoring Daemon that sends Email when the array has a
problem.

It also has a web server built in that you can access the status of the
array from.

It's pretty reasonable overall. The only thing I think a purist would
want would be SNMP traps

Subject: [lug] Query about RAID monitoring

I am curious, for those of you dealing with linux servers utilizing RAID
configurations of any type, what type of monitoring does your hardware
give you? For instance say in a RAID-1,5,10 w/ a hot spare does the
software notify you when a drive goes bad? What type of
hardware/software are you using? Thanks.
