Cable itself is wonderful, when it works. Low latency and high 
bandwidth, it is cheaper (used to be) than an extra phone line. At my 
location the only other choice is 56k on phone lines that only support 
14k to 26k (poor quality plus filters in an area without the 
infrastructure to get 2 lines at times), and even some of the wireless 
versions can't reach this part of town. My disagreement is with 
Comcast's business practices...they constantly take deals they make and 
decide to supply less for the agreed upon deal an charge for the rest as 
extras...they've done that 4 times in the last year as a result of 
dialing their tech support for problems NOT in this house. The tech in 
charge of this area is the only guy that has the slightest clue about 
actually fixing problems, without that we'd also be out of cable.
