I suspect the only things missing would be the commercial applications
that get bundled.  Also, if SuSE is anything like RedHat, they probably
have compatibility rpm's that allow you to run your older software. 
This is all just speculation on my part, but I wouldn't expect this kind
of upgrade to cause problems.  However, I would suggest using your
dollars in support of a linux company if you have them to spend.
