The odd thing is, he has libcrypto.so.4.  Do you have the RPM that
provided this still?  I'm assuming yum is looking for openssl, which I
assume you'd have.

Usually when I hear problems like this, I think an exactarch conflict. 
But I don't see how that could be the case here.
