[lug] dumb question about /sys

procfs is good for exporting human readable stuff to user space, it's 
kind of difficult for much more than that.
sysfs is a mapping of all kobjects in to user space and is more designed 
around exposing actual kernel data structures and device stuff.

usbfs has been art of proc and the pci registers have all been exposed 
in proc but they really should have their own space, thus sysfs.   To my 
knowledge proc isn't going anywhere any time soon.
