Oh, its no joke.  ;-)  The summer after I moved to Houston they had a
tropical storm park itself over the city for three days and flooded the
place.

Well, now that you mention it....

It's official:  Bring in the dogs.  Board up the house.  Lock the kids
in the basement and make sure the insurance is paid up.  

I'm coming back to Colorado.

I just accepted an offer for a position in Colorado Springs.  Not quite
the old homestead, but close enough to do damage to the unwashed
masses.  I'll be back in time (I think) for April's BLUG meeting but I
wouldn't count on me till May.  Perfect timing for another water spout
over the lake.

Wow.  That was a whole group of jobs ago.  :-)  Now I'm in Houston.  But
I came down here at the end of the bubble thanks to the
work-from-anywhere option I had while working with Jon and Liz at
LWN.net.  Now I'll be with an outfit that (my wife and I hope) has some
long term possibilities.  The days of the travelling 'Muse are done, we
hope.
