Are you using the kernel based NFS server? There have been patches
in the kernel for the NFS server. I remember having some problems
with stale handles using the linux NFS server. It was a few months
back, maybe version 2.6.8 or so. I'm up to 2.6.11 and I haven't seen
the stale handle problems.
