One of our publishers (that supplies those nice door prize books) is
giving us the opportunity to request a couple of books. So, if there's
some interest in either of these just drop me a note and I'll request
them.

Thanks.

BONUS BOOKS--- THESE REQUIRE YOUR ACTION!!!

1) Is there any interest within your group on the topic of Linux kernel
programming? If so, be sure to ask me for a review copy of the latest
book from the Prentice Hall Open Source Software Development Series,
titled:
"The Linux® Kernel Primer: A Top-Down Approach for x86 and PowerPC
Architectures" authored by Claudia Salzberg; Gordon Fischer; Steven
Smolski -- http://www.phptr.com/title/0131181637

2) Is there any interest within your group on the topic of RFID? If so,
be sure to ask me for a review copy of the latest title from IBM Press,
"RFID Sourcebook", authored by Sandip Lahiri.

I can say the same things are wrong with GUI based proprietary
software for all the same reasons. What you should instead point out
is that you have an entirely different and incompatible set of problem
solving skills.
