[lug] Suse 10 Dismay

This morning I started to install Suse 10, but found
it's been dumbed down seriously. Many packages have been
omitted. It's as if anything dealing with science or math
has been omitted, and many aspects of software development
have been shortchanged.

While we can download those packages on our own, the whole
point to a Linux distribution was to package them together
saving users the trouble of building everything from scratch.

Since Suse dropped their professional version, there's no
real upgrade path without the costly Enterprise license.
Any suggestions?

Here's a sampling of packages I find in Suse 9.2 but not in 10.
