The Uptime Group, Inc. is looking for a full time consultant with a minimum
of three to five years Linux administration and desktop support experience
to work with our small- to medium-sized business clients. You will design,
install and maintain Linux-based computer networks for companies in the
Denver/Boulder metro area with eight to 50 employees. Work is generally
performed 60 percent on site and 40 percent remotely. 

Candidates must have proven success with:

. Red Hat Enterprise and SuSE
. Apache
. Qmail
. VPNs (IPSEC, PPTP and SS[HL])
. File sharing, workgroup and domains (Samba)
. IP networking
. Firewalls (IPTables)
. Windows 98/2000/XP networking
. Virus and spyware cleanup
. Documentation

Candidates must also demonstrate:

. The highest ethical standards
. Phenomenal customer service and people skills
. Willingness to work closely with non-technical clients
. Ability to explain your work at a level appropriate to your audience
. Professional demeanor
. Ability to work as a team 
. Self motivation

Major plusses include experience with any of the following:

. Asterisk
. Scalix and/or OpenXchange
. Sendmail and/or Postfix
. OpenVPN
. Linux certification
. Windows networking
. Small Business Server 2000/2003
. Exchange Server 2000/2003
. Microsoft SharePoint

Pay rate is $40,000-50,000 plus benefits, depending on experience.
