I have four disks.  Last week I backed up /home.  Two are data disks and
one is for the system.  I sure appreciate your response, but it didn't
do much to make me feel better!  I think I'll just go the fresh install
route.  Painful as I did this not too long ago so no additional benefit
other than assuring a good working system. That's benefit enough though!
