You DON'T deal with anonymity.  There's other ways for the above folks 
to communicate with people that are a hell of a lot safer than e-mail, 
anyway, and they're probably using those methods anyway.

9x and 2K are moot - if people need ways to make those work, someone 
will write ways to make them work, and they can pay to buy that fix.  Or 
pay to upgrade, their headache, not yours.

Move forward.  Someone doesn't come along, that's their problem.
