I know lots of people have had problems with them, but mine has been really
stable.  I'm not trying to do wireless with it, or anything else really.
Just DSL to Ethernet to my Linux firewall, and it's been absolutely solid.

One thing I really like about it that the 678 doesn't have is the
"Internet" light, so that you can tell the difference between "Trained,
talking to the DSLAM" and "Authenticated with ISP's router", just from
looking at the front panel lights.

That said, I wouldn't recommend the ActionTecs.  I was running two DSL
lines for a while, but dropped one, and just happened to drop the one with
the 678 on it.  So now that's sitting idle.  If the ActionTec acts up, I'll
replace it in a heartbeat, but it's been up and running for something like
3 years now.
