[lug] Problem recording on only one channel

Greetings,

I'm having trouble recording both channels of stereo audio input.  It
seems to be a recording issue, because when I play downloaded samples,
both channels come through.  When I'm recording, the "monitor" output also
has both channels, so I feel confident that the signals are at least
reaching the sound card.

I'm running ubuntu 6 and the gnome sound recorder 2.14.2.

Any ideas?  I didn't find much on the web either.
