[lug] X forward through SSH

Dear All,

I have a linux box @ home that I use as a digital audio workstation. I 
recorded some great recordings with Ardour last night.

I want to call Ardour through ssh and X11 forwarding and mix down the tracks 
so I can share them with the office.

I know X11 forward is permitted on my DAW. I use my laptop as a the mixing 
controller often at home.

But from my office I have to shell into my firewall box and then to my DAW.
I get this erro when I call ardour  
-- Gtk-WARNING **: cannot open display:

I'm thinking the issue us with my FW box settings. 

Any thoughts or suggestions on this?
