[lug] Initial impressions of Kubuntu

Speaking of Java, is kaffe and gcj and all that stuff going to be abandoned at
this point?  That's got to be a bit of a downer for people who worked on that,
but they never really became real competition for the commercial Javas as far
as I could tell.  Nothing I ever tried to run on kaffe ever worked right
anyhow, but you know how I am at bringing out the outlier cases and bugs.
