[lug] adobe reader on linux

I have to support adobe reader and just recently downloaded the 7.0.9 
release for linux after the security update.  When I install it, it 
claims to be 7.0.9 in a few places.  However, when I run it, the splash 
screen shows 7.0.8 and "About Adobe Reader 7.0" shows a splash screen 
that claims 7.0.8 as well.  I've seen this behavior on both RHEL 4 and 
Debian Etch.

Is this just a case of poor QA or am I alone in my version mismatch?
