[lug] Installfest, 1 week, be there!

I've seen several "Will there be someone at the Installfest to help me do
X?" posts.

Nothing wrong with that, for sure.

But getting help isn't the only reason to go. It's fun to spend a couple of
hours helping someone else.

That doesn't mean being an expert. The last one I went to, I mostly "helped
out" a retired physicist. He'd come because he was tired of Windows, and he
wanted to try out this new-fangled Linux thingy. He was an interesting,
bright guy. All he wanted was someone to sit with him and chat. Whenever
the installation said, "Wait while etc.," I'd say, "Looks like it's going
fine. Want some coffee?"

It's easy to forget how much you can help out someone who's not a long-time
Linux geek, with little more than basic encouragement and a relaxed
attitude.
