[lug] Process Aborted

I have an app that is crashing. When I run the program, it just 
terminates with

Line 17 Aborted <pid> java -classpath ... class arg arg arg

The program that runs is Java. I've tried fiddling with the memory 
allocations for the JVM, changing to different VMs, etc and nothing 
seems to change it.

The machine is running kernel version 2.4.23, and has been pretty stable 
for quite a while.

I'm planning on upgrading the machine this weekend, but it would be nice 
to get this issue sorted out beforehand.
