[lug] Connecting to Fiber

Strange place.  Is that 1000Base-SX?  If all the computers are within
one room, the cheapest (and easiest) solution might be to buy a
workgroup switch with a fiber uplink module.  Something like the
Linksys SR2024 and the companion SFP might suffice.
