I have an MSI Wind desktop (
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16856167032) which has a
1.6 GHz Atom in it. It works great as my development LAMP server. I ran
into a few problems trying to load CentOS 5.3 on it because the network card
wasn't supported. I ended up not wanting to deal with it and loaded Fedora
10 and it works fine. I also put a 32GB SSD in it for kicks since I didn't
need much disk space. It is crazy fast doing a file transfer over gigabit
ethernet.
