Umm.  I've never seen it in a DV camcorder.  Every DV camcorder I've ever
seen only lets you pull pictures via USB.  You have to use Firewire to get
video.

Kino is dead easy for DV via Firewire capture.  But the transfer is realtime
as far as I've figured out.  A 1 hour tape takes 1 hour to transfer.  And
1 hour of raw DV video is 13gig or so.

Do you have a firewire port available at all?  I had to get a pcmcia card
for my laptop.

What kind of deadlines do you have?  I'd be happy to show up somewhere
