[lug] Linux for K-12 school

Hi,

I volunteer at a local elementary school that is a Mac-only
school.  They're looking at a big upgrade and are willing to
consider Linux.

If it happened, this could become Boulder's Linux demonstration
school.  It would be a great way to get kids excited about the
the possibilities of Linux.

Do you know anyone who has experience in this ... who would be
willing to meet with us to discuss the issues?
Some that come to mind are ...

  - Education needed for the teachers and staff
  - Conversion difficulty
      - Existing documents
      - Finding replacements for currently used software
      - Accessing web sites that require MS or Mac browswers
  - What other schools use Linux?
  - And of course, cost
