Does it offer to file a bug on it? If there is network it should do so,
and then we can look at the bug and see the exact backtrace. If it's
the same as the above bug it should mark it as so. 

I do know it's sometimes confused by leftover raid superblocks. Might
try making sure the start and end of each disk are totally wiped if you
are doing a clean install? (ie, dd them with /dev/zero).

Yes, it can be raid or ext3 or ext4.
