Last week I ordered three otherwise expensive O'Reilly books from
http://www.alibris.com/ and wanted to share my experience.

I normally go to amazon.com, buy.com or some other online service to
save a lot of money but occasionally buy off the shelf at the local B&N
when I'm in the mood to have it right away. Alibris sells used books
and is one of many companies doing so as part of a secondary book
market. This was my first time purchasing from them.

The minimum I paid was $8 and the maximum for "High Performance MySQL
2nd Edition" was $15. List price is $49 and buy.com is $22-29?

I received all three today and was absolutely shocked at what good
condition they are in. Other than some minor use wear on the corners
these really appear as good as new. So I'm thrilled..

I know most computer professionals have at least two to three feet of
O'Reilly books and that habit can get expensive, so I thought I might
mention this as an alternative.
