And /usr/bin/[: is not a command. 

So D, is that what you meant or was it a typo?

Kevin had the answer, it is an actual RPM package item. There was no typo, and I thought the name was terribly suspicious. Left square bracket '[' and colon ':', as a single file, '/usr/bin/[:' is apparently legitimate.
