[lug] Broadband Internet options for rural Boulder County?

About two years I posed this question to the group and am hoping there are
some new options. I am looking for broadband (i.e., faster than dial-up
:) about half way between Lafayette and Longmonth in Easter Boulder
County.

Two years the options were WISPs (Mesa Networks, etc...) and cellular.
Mesa Networks were the only ones with coverage, yet they came out and
tried for an hour to get a stable signal but failed. Ended up going with
Sprint (USB cell modem + Linux router) and that has worked okay until
recently. I guess all these new smartphones are eating up bandwidth as
performance (thruput and latency) has gone from okay to horrible in the
past few months.

As the two-year Sprint contract is up this month, I would like a different
option. What WISPs are recommended in this area? Are there any other
options I should look into? Thanks!
