[lug] Firefox crashes

I had similar problems in the past, but don't anymore. Main difference
is that I run firefox in a 32bit.
However, there clearly are memory leaks, if I leave firefox open for a
day (even if unused or barely used) it double or triples its memory
usage from the start-up to the end of the day (it easily reach 2 or 3
hundreds of MB!). And note that I use it with NoScript and 99% of the
sites I visit are without javascript or flash!

The solution (for me) is to periodically restart it. I guess the same
will be true for you, so my recommendations:

- use noscript and stop all javascript and flash crap
- if you have a javascript or flash intense site, open it in another
browser (e.g. Google Chrome) instead of allowing it with noscript
- restart the browser periodically, or at least mid-day e.g. at lunch
